SM & myself decided to treat ourselves to a little pampering, we had heard good reports of the SenSpa at Carey's Manor so booked ourselves in for an Evening Indulgence package which included use of the Spa from 5.0pm plus a 3 course dinner in The Zen Restaurant, well you knew we would choose one that included food!  What a wonderful treat it turned out to be so suggest you all follow our example, you know you are worth it!

Explore their website to read details of all the treatments, special Spa breaks/days, and all the fabulous facilities, SenSpa really does have the WOW factor.  We particularly enjoyed the hydrotherapy pool and the herbal showers, it was all so realxing.  Both in the Spa & in the restaurant we had wonderful service, the staff are all very friendly & helpful.  Another plus is there is a very glamorous shop in the reception area, prepare for temptation!

I have always loved Thai food and Zen serves the very best so we were spoilt in the restaurant as well as the Spa.

Again suggest you look at the website for their menus, see some mouth watering examples on the left.

The set menu for the package we were on included for starters: Popia Thod Spring Roll filled with carrot, cabbage, mushroom, bean sprouts and glass noodles deep fried and served with plum sauce, Tod Mun Pla (mild) Thai fish cakes with flavoured red curry paste and green peas deep fried served with sweet chilli, cucumber and peanut sauce, and Yam Kai (med) Poached chicken breast with a Thai salad of red onions, tomatoes, spring onions and a spicy Thai dressing, see L & R.

Our main course: Gaeng Keo wan Kai (med) Green curry with chicken, aubergine, peppers, basil leaves, coconut & soya milk, (on left) Pla Nueng Khing (mild) Fillet of sea bass steamed with ginger, soy sauce and spring onions, (on right) Pad Pak Stir fried mixed vegetable with soy sauce, and Kow sauy, Jasmine rice.

We also enjoyed a Khing Wan Yen, an iced Ginger Parfait with Tamarind sauce, for dessert.

Both SM & I agreed that all the dishes were absolutely delicious with some of the most gorgeous flavours that lingered for quite some time.  As well as tasting wonderful everything was so beautifully presented and the portions were very generous.  Considering we also had a glass of wine included we felt the Evening Indulgence is great value for money and highly recommend it.

The restaurant is open to non Spa users (but it is closed Sun & Mon evenings); we have decided THE place to live in Hampshire is Brockenhurst, it has more than it's fair share of excellent restaurants!

Cost for Evening Indulgence Package is £59 each

Yummy Factor 9/10

Report CJ

The higher the "Yummy" factor, the better the food & service.  The higher the number of £ signs the more expensive.  ( Roughly one £ sign = £5 per head )
