This was a Mother's day treat from my son so a very special occasion!  It was a Saturday night, a new buzzy Italian restaurant.

We all started with expensive starters.  The Antipasto Mussolini was slightly disappointing as the queen scallops were very small but overall the flavour was good. The favourite choice was Gamberoni Farciti (king prawns in Palma ham).  My main course was delicious, Fiorentino Lamb Cutlets served with spinach tossed in olive oil & chilli.  The Dover sole was a good size & reasonably priced.  The other chosen dish was Pork Medallions with dolcelatte & basil sauce with palma ham , also very tasty.  We only ordered one pud, Grape Brulee, not quite as good as the one I make myself!

The staff were all very friendly & efficient.  The atmosphere & lighting were very cafe style.  I prefer softer (kinder!) lighting especially at night time but the food was good.  Smoking allowed everywhere.

The higher the "Yummy" factor, the better the food & service.  The higher the number of £ signs the more expensive.  ( Roughly one £ sign = £5 per head )
