We enjoyed an evening in this very busy Italian Restaurant last night.  This is very close to the Mayflower Theatre and therefore is an ideal place to eat either before or after a show.

We were six and not all had starters but the ones chosen were a melon fan with raspberry coulis,  garlic mushrooms in creamy sauce, and two portions of garlic bread.  Our main courses were, two tortellini, one with a creamy mushroom sauce, the other with spinach and ricotta, two had garlic chicken on a bed of roasted vegetables, one fillet of lamb with caramelized onions and redcurrant sauce, and finally a sirloin steak in a green pepper sauce.  Various puddings were offered but only 3 could manage strawberry meringue gateaux. Several of us had coffee accompanied with Amoretti biscuits and Imperial mints, a nice finish to an enjoyable meal.  The portions were generous and the staff very friendly.  The one downfall is that the loos are down  steep steps,  go before you start on the vino!

We had two bottles of house wine.

The higher the "Yummy" factor, the better the food & service.  The higher the number of £ signs the more expensive.  ( Roughly one £ sign = £5 per head )
