Visited Easter Weekend, April 2001.

This is a large old house, so includes accommodation,  in a lovely quiet setting just off the centre of the picturesque village of Burley in The New Forest.

There were nine of us who all ordered different dishes from the varied chalk board.  Everyone enjoyed their pub lunch.  I had a chicken tikka salad, good value at £6.50.  Staff very friendly & gave excellent service considering it was so busy.

Dogs are welcome in the bar but not in the dinning room nor in accommodation area.  A useful plus for walkers.

We all had various drinks so roughly
