Thoroughly recommend Sherborne for an interesting day out. An historic town, plenty to see, & unusual shops for retail therapy!
Can also recommend this restaurant. This was my second visit & it lived up to expectation. Excellent & interesting food, good service & lovely surroundings.
I chose Warm Kiln Roasted Loch Fyne Salmon with New Potatoes, Wholegrain Mustard & Rocket Salad. My friend's choice was Chump of Lamb with Garlic & Tarragon, Aubergine Caviar, Dauphinoise Potatoes & Beans. All delicious & beautifully presented. The attentive staff kept offering us a variety of unusual breads. We both managed to do justice to the seriously yummy Warm Apple & Almond Tart with Caramel Sauce & Vanilla Ice Cream. When we complimented him, the chef even shared with us the secret ingredient of the tart but had better not tell you, go & try it your self!
Cost: with a couple of soft drinks, just over £ £ £
