A very old pub on the waterfront in Old Portsmouth, its full title on the wall, The Still & West Country House.  A lovely day & luckily we managed to get an outside table in their courtyard.  It was weird sitting there & all of a sudden a giant ferry comes around the corner, they look so big as you are so close to them!

My friend had been here only a week ago & had had the best fish & chips ever so I didn't even bother to look at the menu & just ordered them.  Big disappointment.  They are served wrapped in paper & as soon as I opened the packet I could see that the chips were very pale & soggy.  Should have taken them back but had already waited a long time as they were busy.  Fish was lovely with crispy batter.  I will go again as a very attractive setting & also another friend was there for dinner not long ago & had wonderful fish.

Cost £ £ £ for both of us including a soft drink & a spritzer.
