This is my first visit to a Hungry Horse restaurant.  Amazingly cheap prices, very bright & colourful menus which are all on their fun website, worth a visit.  Food wise you get what you pay for but for a cheap & cheerful lunch its worth a try.  It is obviously always busy & they don't take bookings.  We arrived fairly early to ensure we got a table on a gloriously hot day in the garden.

Two chose steaks, one was very chewy the other one was OK but only £3.99 each & you could choose between chips or jacket potato & either salad or vegetables!  Another friend enjoyed Chicken Pizziola, chicken breast served with a tangy tomato sauce, chips, sweet corn, peas & a choice of dipping sauce.  I had a ham salad on thick brown bread sandwich.  Very disappointed as the bread was dry & the ham "plasticky" also the portion of chips I ordered were cold.

This was the only food we ordered even though I was longing for some of the wonderful pudding concoctions they had on offer!  We had several drinks & 2 coffees & the

The higher the "Yummy" factor, the better the food & service.  The higher the number of £ signs the more expensive.  ( Roughly one £ sign = £5 per head )
