Visited Y.D.Dandy's at the Seagull on a quiet Thursday in January 2003.

The restaurant has a lovely outlook from Hythe across Southampton Water.

The food can best be described as adequate, which is a shame as the view is superb! The main menu is American burgers, hotdogs, fries, etc.  The four of us started our meal with a selection of dippers which included fuds, a new one to me, they are chicken wings! Two of us ate off of the specials board. One lamb shank & one salmon with coriander &  lime marinade both of which were fine.  The other two had scampi & chips & a filled jacket potato, there again they were both o.k. but nothing special. If the food was a little more exciting they would have a winning combination! House wines were a very reasonable £7.95. a bottle so give it a try &  tell them what you think of it.
