This pub has been totally revamped and is beautiful - lovely patio area front and back overlooking fields. Very relaxed atmosphere with excellent service.  The whole place is cream, white and black - very cool!!  Tableware to die for with starched linen napkins etc.  Very cosmopolitan feel, waitresses courteous and efficient all dressed in black with long white starched aprons. The food is DELICIOUS created by an American chef from Maryland!  Extensive menu in the Nouvelle Cuisine style but with larger portions.  Free vichyssoise to whet our palettes which we thought a very nice touch!  We had varied choices, the favourite starter, Risotto of confit pork with apple sauce & crackling, the favourite main, Grilled Sea Bass with Thai style shellfish Nage, Lemon Grass, coconut milk, ginger & coriander.  We had very good wines at around £15 a bottle. They also do brunch ( e.g. The Ultimate Bacon Sandwich) and Sunday lunch, 2 courses £14, 3 courses £18.  Lovely area where you can have an extensive Bar Menu, more cocktail bar than pub with sofas etc. Altogether a very efficiently run establishment that is gaining in popularity so booking is essential.  Although dinner is a bit pricey it is certainly worth it and we shall return to sample both brunch and Sunday lunch soon.  Highly recommended!
