Obviously you go to Choice
Plants for their excellent selection of plants, pots and anything
gardening (they make up fabulous hanging baskets with a great watering
system) but whilst there do stop for a snack in Poppies. The large
Cafe is a recent addition to the Choice Plants empire and well worth a
visit even if you don't need any plants!
We visited on Easter
Monday and can thoroughly recommend Poppies. Our choices were a
heated panini with brie and bacon, a jacket potato with brie and bacon
and a baguette with brie and apple; all
served with a lovely salad and very reasonably priced. Their
varied choice of home made cakes looked scrumptious but on this occasion
we resisted, we were too full! Their Fair Trade coffee is
excellent especially as you can request it either normal or strong strength
and you can have your own cafetiere. No alcohol but plenty of
choices of soft drinks, teas and hot chocolate. Very friendly
staff.
Sorry no photos of the
food as we did not have the camera with us but have now taken some
photos of my gardening purchases (above, a Silver Fan Palm in it's very
smart blue pot & left, the two gorgeous blue bottles), they were
delivered safely and free of charge too !
