Visited May 2001 & on many other occasions.

Very famous old thatched pub.  Now has an adjacent restaurant called Pilgrim's Progress but have never tried it.

 We called in late on Sat lunch time for a light snack which three of us were quite happy with!  As you know there is always one person who wants more.  This time it was Gammon hock which was very badly under cooked which made it inedible. However the complaint was dealt with promptly & the food replaced.  I have eaten at The Pilgrim quite a few time & have always been pleased , so would still recommend it for good pub grub!
