We visited this Pub on Sunday 20th October '02 for a family celebration.  Typical old pub refurbished to still look oldie worldie but with bright conservatory at the rear overlooking large garden.  As it was a typical October Autumn day it was welcoming to see "real" fires burning in the pub.

Ordering food was the usual these days of going up to the bar with your table number, food order and the money.  Best to start a tab !  As we were 9 this was a bit of a pain but No 1 Son volunteered to take the order - bless him!

Fortunately we all had either roast pork, lamb or beef  priced at £6.95.  There was a bit of a mix up, mainly because the staff could not tell the difference between pork and beef, but eventually we all got what we ordered.  Plenty of meat, cut a bit too thick for me, a large Yorkshire Pud, good gravy, but not very good veggies.  I think most people enjoyed the treacle pudding for dessert best.

Cost with drinks £ £

 Yummy factor  5/10

The higher the "Yummy" factor, the better the food & service.  The higher the number of £ signs the more expensive.  ( Roughly one £ sign = £5 per head )
