Lime Wood, a luxurious £30m hotel is to open in Lyndhurst; we cant wait to check it out for you, it sounds fab u lous..... darling! ( Yes I'm a Strictly fan!). The 33-bedroom, five-star boutique hotel (formerly The Parkhill) will open on the 23 November. It's owned by Alex Aitken, Jim Ratcliffe and Robin Hutson who along with Gerard Basset (now owner of Hotel Terravina) was one of the founders of The Hotel du Vin group. They say "this will be the most significant hotel to open outside of London in a decade"! Alex, chef patron of Le Poussin restaurant at Whitley Ridge in Brockenhurst, will move his Michelin-starred restaurant to Lime Wood as well as overseeing a second brasserie-style eaterie The Scullery, which will serve steak frites and all-day hamburgers. We love Whitley Ridge so expect Lime Wood will soon become the destination to dine... and to stay if you have won the lottery! |
