 LWLSilver Award - Awarded September 2010 - Cost £££££££

Forresters is a hidden gem in Yarmouth!  A well presented high ceilinged hall with a small mezzanine.

We were greeted by Amanda, one of the proprietors, who was very attentive throughout the evening.

I started with Pan seared sea scallops, grilled asparagus, lime and Thai oil, on a herb baked crostini £7.45.  The 2nd starter was Char grilled chicken breast, cos leaves, Caesar dressing, garlic croutons, and crisp Pancetta £5.95. Both were delicious.

We both followed with 8oz dry aged local Rib-eye steaks, £15.95, mine marinated in Masala, garlic, and bay leaves, on a horseradish, and cream potato rosti, served with honey roast root vegetables.  John the chef and co proprietor kindly served the other steak sans marinade which is to my partners taste.  Both were perfectly cooked to our preference.

After the steaks we had no room for pud although they looked delicious!

Throughout the evening we shared a bottle of Beaujolais £17.95.
A very enjoyable dinner, we will be back! Cost £££££££
