The Lifeboat is a large airy pub with outside eating.  The menu is very well priced for the current economic climate!  I ate Sizzling Cod and Pancetta Fish Cakes with Oriental Vegetable Stir Fry and herb rice @ £6.50, very tasty. The other choice was Cajun Chicken Breast served on a sizzling platter with tomato, mushrooms, onions, onion rings and chips @ £6.00.  You order at the bar, collect your own cutlery and dig in!

On the day of our visit it was quiet but if they manage the same service when busy I think they are on to a winner.  At the moment they are doing an offer, if you buy 2 glasses of wine you get the whole bottle for the same price!

5/5 = Cannot be improved upon, 4/5 = Very good, 3/5 = Good,
2/5 = Satisfactory, 1/5 = Poor, 0/5 = Terrible

The higher the "Yummy" factor, the better the food & service. The higher the number of £ signs the more expensive. (Roughly one £ sign = £5 per head)
