LWL Silver Award - Awarded July 2010- Cost ££££

September 2011 I was invited to join some friends last night to celebrate a birthday and once again we were not disappointed. Good atmosphere and friendly staff as before.

Four of us enjoyed their really good Tex-Mex fajitas - a spice blend of peppers and onions served with sour cream, guacamole, grated cheddar cheese and flour tortillas and served on a sizzling skillet. Three were served with chicken £13.95 and one with beef £15.95. One had a 6oz steak at £15.95 with all the trimmings.

Our drinks were a large glass of pinot, a bottle of merlot £16.95, several cokes, a couple of beers and gin & tonics.

Whilst waiting for the above we enjoyed a dish of marinated mixed olives £3.25 and two portions of garlic bread, £3.25 each, yummy!

We finished with 4 coffees and all agreed it still deserves it previous marking and its Silver Award from LWL ! Cost £££££

July 2010Visted with friends, we arrived on their boat, on a gloriously sunny day  so it was a real delight to sit on the terrace and enjoy the marina views.Excellent and friendly service, extensive  menu.  We chose garlic bread to share to start. I chose Stir Fried Tiger Prawns & Scallops, see above.  SM chose Stir Fried Beef Fillet (the favourite dish, on left) and the others had a variety of pizzas and a Caesar salad.  All washed down with a couple of bottles of Pinot Grigio Blush.  A very enjoyable sunny lunch!  BTW dogs are welcome on the terrace.  We decided to upgrade the marking to Silver, see below.  Cost ££££

December 2008 4 of us visited to celebrate a birthday and even though we were almost the only people in the restaurant (it was Monday but very near Christmas) it was warm and welcoming, great background music.  The new Banana Wharf is very impressive and will be a wonderful Summer venue however do take note of possible parking probs. We started with our usual G&T's and also had a bottle of an excellent house red @ £15.95.  With the pre dinner drinks we ordered a bowl of mixed olives £2.95.  My main choice was Monkfish, tiger prawn & scallop kebabs with a lemon butter sauce, pan-fried new potatoes and seasonal salad @ £16.95, two of the others chose Stir-fried tiger prawns & scallops with fine noodles, asparagus, spring onions and broccoli, finished with oyster sauce @ £14.95 and the final choice was Wharf lamb curry, tender pieces of lamb cooked in an authentic medium curry sauce, served with steamed Basmati rice @ £11.50 but naan bread is £1.95 extra! To finish we ordered their speciality Chocolate fondue, a selection of fresh fruit, marshmallows, profiteroles and mini donuts – ready to dip in melted chocolate.  Its very yummy but can only be ordered for a minimum of 2 and costs £14.25.  We did enjoy all the food but did feel that for the size of the portions the prices are quite high.
