| 4 of us visited to celebrate a birthday and even though we were almost the only people in the restaurant (it was Monday but very near Christmas) it was warm and welcoming, great background music. The new Banana Wharf is very impressive and will be a wonderful Summer venue however do take note of possible parking probs. We started with our usual G&T's and also had a bottle of an excellent house red @ £15.95. With the pre dinner drinks we ordered a bowl of mixed olives £2.95. My main choice was Monkfish, tiger prawn & scallop kebabs with a lemon butter sauce, pan-fried new potatoes and seasonal salad @ £16.95, two of the others chose Stir-fried tiger prawns & scallops with fine noodles, asparagus, spring onions and broccoli, finished with oyster sauce @ £14.95 and the final choice was Wharf lamb curry, tender pieces of lamb cooked in an authentic medium curry sauce, served with steamed Basmati rice @ £11.50 but naan bread is £1.95 extra! To finish we ordered their speciality Chocolate fondue, a selection of fresh fruit, marshmallows, profiteroles and mini donuts – ready to dip in melted chocolate. Its very yummy but can only be ordered for a minimum of 2 and costs £14.25. We did enjoy all the food but did feel that for the size of the portions the prices are quite high. | Ladies Who Lunch Scoring:Quality of food Variety of menu Staff and service Ambience, setting and decor Value for Money
