August 2011 I recently re-visited this establishment with two girlfriends and for a Tuesday evening the place was very busy so table bookings are necessary.
 
We started with a Mediterranean Meze Sharing Plate at £10.95, more than enough for the 3 of us!  It included: hummus, roasted vegetables, fregola, tzatziki, feta, spinach & ricotta pâté and flatbreads. Followed by good old fish and chips, Battered haddock, frites, tartare sauce and minted mushy peas, £10.95, Linguini, tiger prawns, crab, chorizo, chilli, tomato and white wine £11.95 and a Salad of crispy duck, mooli, carrots, hoisin, watercress, spring onion and plum sauce £11.45. The prawn linguine was slightly disappointing, not particularly good flavour and a sticky sauce!  The other dishes were fine.
 
No puds, just coffee and together with wine Cost £££.

Sadly we had to mark the service down a point so Chilworth Arms no longer has a Bronze award.

As it was supposed to be a summers evening we thought we'd drink a dry Hampton Rose at £14.   All good and well served, apart from when the wine was poured the waiter forgot to let one of try it first, fortunately we liked it !
