I was told about this bar/cafe in the Calshot Activities Centre by a site regular so decided to check it out on what was one of the few sunny days we had recently.  Shame it was still too cold to sit outside because there were plenty of tables out there with great views of Southampton Water.  A wonderful position to watch the large cruise ships sailing by.  Inside you could also see the rock climbing walls so a very interesting place all around!  Very comfortable seating & friendly service.

We wanted to try out the Thai food as I believe one of the owners is Thai.  The dish on offer was Thai Chicken Red Curry served with steamed rice & available hot, med, or mild.  I opted for mild & my partner for hot.  He would have preferred his hotter but I enjoyed the flavour of mine & it was quite spicy enough for me. We started with mini Spring Rolls which were delicious.  I was a bit disappointed because I love Thai noodle dishes but none were available.  It is obvious that traditional pub grub makes up the majority of the menu & very good it looked too.  I saw wonderful baguettes piled high with bacon being served & very crunchy looking chips, I will definitely go again!  Would also be great just for a drink outside on a summer evening.  Wonderful base for a walk along the beach.
