The Hobler has been taken over by the Alcatraz group & is now a very smart wine bar, a different look than on our last visit!  It wasn't very busy & was rather chilly though I would imagine that if it was crowded it would be a different matter.  Lots of different areas so you could get very private dining when its not busy.

The reason for our lunch was to meet Sarah the creator of Milford-on-Sea Online us web masters have to stick together!

The full menu for The Hobler is on their website but even though they have some interesting choices plus a specials board we all only chose one course.

None of us were madly impressed with our food, it was just OK but loved the sauté potatoes & the very reasonably priced house white!  Staff were friendly.

The best part of the lunch for me was when we met one of our site regulars, she had noticed SM's car with our LWL address on it in the car park & so introduced herself, it is such a thrill to know we have fans out there!

We finished with coffees.
