My walking group completed a stunning walk at Cheesefoot Head just east of Winchester on the A272.  Fantastic views as it was such a clear day, albeit it very cold!   Walk completed, we drove about 2 miles along the A272 in the Petersfield direction and then took the minor road right towards Warnford. The Milbury's lies on the second crossroads with a large car park.
 
This 17th Century Pub and Restaurant is a country pub with nice log fire, a 300ft well, a massive treadmill, minstrel's gallery, skittle alley and of course beautiful views.  Good venue for car rallies and club meetings and you can even stay the night, B & B available!!
 
We were 14 so once again will not go thru the list of choices!  I had a large bowl of curried parsnip soup at £4.45, others had, fish and chips, gammon egg and chips, sandwiches etc.  Although the service was not particularly good, perhaps due to us all ordering separately, the food was OK. An extensive menu of pub grub and a specials board is available.   No puds were required but a few had coffee, which for me was too weak.
