LWL Bronze Award - Awarded January 2012 - Cost £££

We were 15 friends staying 500 yds. from this pub.  We were not able to get into our country mansion (!) until 4pm so we had lunch here.  An assortment of pub grub and fab door-step sandwiches! Last food orders, 2.30 at lunch time. Cost £££

The Cock is a 17th century coaching inn with original stone walls and log fire. It has a large beer garden with panoramic views.

Whilst having our lunch we noticed from the specials board they do a 'hog roast 10 -20 people, a few days notice required.  What a good idea for our last night we thought and made a booking!

Last night, and several pounds heavier we enjoyed a really tasty hog, carved by the chef, together with crackling, apple sauce and stuffing, yum yum!  We had some vegetables and chips too and along with several bottles of wine etc. the cost was £18 per head.

Please help to spread the word by telling any restaurants you visit that you tried them because you were recommended by LWL in Hampshire... Thank you!
