It is years since I have been to this very long established pub, it brought back memories of my lost youth! Unfortunately it is looking as faded as I am, we could both do with a face lift!!
Usual pub set up, find a table then order food & pay for it at the bar. Seemed to be short of staff as not very busy but had to wait for service.
Food was good & very generous portions. My friend chose Fish & excellent Chips, I had a very tasty Great Fish Pie topped with a cheesy mash. We were both tempted by the puds, we chose the Huge Treacle Sponge & Apple Pie & ice cream, only £2.95 & £2.75 respectively. Could not move afterwards! Very enjoyable. We only had a mineral water & a spritzer to drink.
