Sorry, Harry Ramsdens now in West Quay shopping centre & I don't think open in evenings!
Visited April 2002
Expect you all know that Harry Ramsden's is famous for fish & chips and that the first shop was in Guisley in Yorkshire. I was lucky enough to go there many years ago. The Southampton one is in Ocean Village which is a complete mess at the moment. It seems they are building more restaurants and night clubs, looking forward to trying them out in the future!
Four of us popped in here for early evening dinner. Talk about forbidden fruit, we all chose a very generous portion of Haddock in a gorgeous crunchy batter with loads of chips and mushy peas. Absolutely yummy, God knows how many calories!! It was served with tartare sauce, or ketchup, lemon wedges and brown and white bread and butter. The fish was fabulous and the chips much better than last time I visited, cant wait to go again! We had two bottles of wine so,
Cost £ £ £
Yummy Factor 9/10, as long as you only want fish & chips, but no smiley because the restaurant was freezing!
