A very belated report of an enjoyable New Years Eve with excellent food.

We received a warm welcome & a glass of champagne on arrival. All of the food was of excellent quality & presentation. I started with seared scallops which were cooked to perfection. The Foie Gras & Confit of Duck were excellent. My fillet steak was cooked to my liking & the other diners were more than satisfied with their choices of Halibut & Lamb. The pear crumble with homemade praline ice-cream was yummy but the others all declared theirs were better! This lovely meal was rounded off with a selection of English cheeses followed by coffee & truffles!

I must say The Green Dragon served some of the best food I have eaten for a long time & hope to visit again very soon.

There is a decent wine list to which we did justice but this obviously put the cost up.

Cost:   £ £ £ £ £ £ £

Yummy factor 10/10 !!!!!!!!!!!!

Report SA

Sorry but revisited April 2003 & not quite so perfect so have taken away that very unusual 10/10, now down to 9/10 !!!!!

The higher the "Yummy" factor, the better the food & service.  The higher the number of £ signs the more expensive.  ( Roughly one £ sign = £5 per head )
