My visit here shows how a restaurant can change so quickly! When my friends ate here only 2 weeks ago they were very enthusiastic about the food & wanted me to try it. They could not believe how the presentation had changed so much. Our choices, Smothered Chicken (enjoyable), Cajun Chicken (tough), Salmon Supreme (best choice), & Pork Loin Chop (tasty flavour) looked as if they had just been plonked on the plates. The presentation of the puddings was a great improvement & we enjoyed Peach & Apricot Cheesecake, Ice Cream Sundae & Sticky Toffee Pavlova.
They were very busy & it most probably didn't help that they had a large coach party of French teenagers!! This meant that we were seated in the conservatory which lacks atmosphere & has an uneven floor so the table wobbled! Think it could be worth another try, apparently they have two chefs, you may strike lucky & get the other one, & you may even be able to sit in the actual pub!
