To celebrate/commiserate our return from holiday, we visited the above for lunch on Wednesday 23rd July.  This is a great find for those living/visiting the West side of Southampton.  Although the address is Hardley it is more likely to be found on the map in the Holbury area.  Very busy so must be popular!

 

We were greeted by very friendly staff, who once you have found a table come and take your food order.  As well as a varied choice menu there is a 2 course weekday special for £5.95.  Before ordering from the menu check out the Specials Board!!  Two ordered from this Board, I had a Tikka Chicken and Cucumber Dip Salad which was very good and another had Medallions of Pork in a Cream Sauce with nice fresh crunchy vegetables.  The two other ladies had Chicken and Bacon salad which had plenty of both ingredients and the salad was a good mixture not just a few lettuce leaves!!  We rounded off with Strawberries and Ice Cream and a Lemon sorbet.  There were many other yummy puddings.  The house white was good at £9.75 and the total was around  £15 per head.  I must just mention that I noticed Diabetic Ice Cream was available as one of the pudding choices, more restaurants should do this.   Coffee all round and a few Gin and Tonics made this a very enjoyable way to spend a Wednesday afternoon.
