What a great find. A good food restaurant where
you can talk and there is no intrusive music. Such was our lunch today.
An Estate Agent, a child of the 60's, a lady with Opera House connections
and myself. We needed to be able to gossip.
This is a set lunch menu with plenty of choice;
two had Summer Fruit Compote with Deep Fried Brie, one had Terrine of Avocado
& Smoked Salmon and I had delicious Goats Cheese, Pesto & Tomato Tart.
No complaints except the portions were large!!
A choice of 5 Main Courses but we chose Dorset Lamb
with Rosemary Jus & Chicken, Bacon & Cheese Roulard with Mushroom
Risotto. Fresh vegetables in the form of potatoes, carrots, beans,
cauliflower all piping hot. All delicious and well presented.
One of the guests had sorbet for pud but the rest of
us were stuffed.
This lunch was 8.95 for two courses and 11.95 for
three. If we had not had two bottles of wine and various other glasses
which let's face it are not obligatory this could have been a £ £ £ lunch.
Booking on Friday essential.
For us cost was: £ £ £ £ £
Yummy Factor 9/10
for food and presentation!
