This Restaurant/Bar is positioned in the row of businesses at Stag Gates.  Fortunately there is a small car park at the rear of the premises accessed alongside the restaurant.  Like most establishments nowadays there are tables and umbrellas for outside dining/smokers.   Wheelchair access is possible for dining but not the loo facilities as they are accessed by up and then down stairs.

We were 4 celebrating a recent birthday and opted for their 2 course lunchtime special £8.95 or 3 courses £10.95.   Whilst choosing our meal we were served with excellent G & T's - lots of ice, lime and the tonic served separately!   Three chose fish cake on a bed of salad with dressing, and one had broccoli and stilton soup served with a hunk of French bread.  For our main courses - one had fish cakes - same as the starter only 2, pasta of the day - tagliatelle with rocket salad, tiny tomatoes and shavings of  parmesan with dressing, one roasted goats cheese salad and one Caesar chicken and bacon salad.   We decided not to indulge in puddings but there was a good choice.  We had a bottle of Australian Shiraz at £14.50  and 4 coffees.

We really enjoyed our lunch, Doc o' the Bay has a great atmosphere.
