6 of us for Sunday lunch.

We were recommended to try this very busy buzzing pub for their excellent food.  Sorry, cant agree with excellent but the Sunday Roast at £5.95 (most of us chose beef) came with all the trimmings, was fine & good value but I'd expected to be amazed after the glowing report!!  The starters were wonderful value, vegetable soup with a large hunk of bread only £1.95, a meal on it's own.  Same goes for the pate also £1.95 & a massive portion.  My nephew had a Crown bacon burger with cheese for only £3.35, he approved!

The service at the bar was good, no problem to set up a tab, young very friendly staff.  Will go again because such a good atmosphere.  We arrived early to get a table in the bar as the restaurant area was fully booked.  We had 2 bottles of house white (only £6.95 a bottle!) plus various other drinks, no puddings.

Cost, a little over £ £

Yummy Factor 7/10

The higher the "Yummy" factor, the better the food & service.  The higher the number of £ signs the more expensive.  ( Roughly one £ sign = £5 per head )
