We spent a very enjoyable evening at the above pub and 3 out 6 of us had a really good meal.  The writer had trout in almonds with salad  plus a huge hunk of wholemeal bread.  One diner had chicken stuffed with cheese and some nice crunchy vegetables.    Two had salmon pasta but the sauce was a bit sloppy and there was not much salmon!  Another friend was pleased with her gammon steak and salad  and lastly one had lamb chops which were a bit tough and not particularly tasty.  The house white was good and the staff very friendly.  The atmosphere was typical noisy pub but this was a Friday night near to Christmas!  A few had puddings the best being a chocolate sponge with real chocolate sauce.

The higher the "Yummy" factor, the better the food & service.  The higher the number of £ signs the more expensive.  ( Roughly one £ sign = £5 per head )
