Staying with friends we visited this local pub for dinner on a Friday evening.  The 6 of us ate very well.  I had field mushrooms filled with Boursin.  Other starters included soup, pate, Thai fish cakes & a portion of garlic bread with cheese.

All of the main courses were very tasty & ample portions. Very varied menu.  Sirloin Steak £9.95, Thai Chicken Curry £8.25, Beef & Blackbean Sauce £8.25, Penne Carbonara £8.50, Steak & Ale Pie £8.25, Smoked Haddock £8.25.

Pinot Grigio £12.65, Pinot Noir £13.50,

We were served by a charming waitress & would love to have a local that served such nice food within walking distance.
