We met friends here for Sunday lunch, it was very busy so do book, its obviously very popular both with locals & visitors to this lovely area.

We had a great roast, my choice of pork is shown which of course included Yorkshire Pud!  Very tasty & recommended though I am not sure if there was anything other than a roast on offer.  Could only see one chalk board from where I was sitting.  We were all being very good even though we were celebrating a B'day, hardly any drinks & no puds!

Very speedy service, friendly staff & atmosphere.

I am sure they would make space for wheelchairs, it was very crowded when we arrived, but all level including loos.

So pleased that before we left we met the Landlady & Landlord, Wendy & Andy Jacobs, who have only been in charge for a short time so we wish them luck especially as they have moved all the way from Middlesborough!  Go & say hello, let them know us Southerners can be friendly as well!  They plan to have new menus but at the moment during the week traditional English Pub fare is on offer e.g. homemade steak & ale pie, cottage pie, etc.  It would be a lovely choice for a weekend stay in one of their B&B rooms, great walking country!  We will definitely visit again in the summer to enjoy the Riverside garden.
