SA & I were out on a shopping trip & Bella Italia looked so inviting.  We popped in for a quick lunch & ended up having the 2 course special, £7.95, plus a bottle of Soave, needless to say that was the end of the shopping!

I chose Crostini Verdura, toasted focaccia bread topped with roasted red & yellow peppers, mushroom, red onion & courgette in a cheese sauce, delicious & it would have been quite enough for a snack but I followed it with a pizza, far too much!  SM had Funghi Gratinate, whole flat mushrooms topped with garlic butter, cream & smoked mozzarella, baked in the oven & served with focaccia, also very tasty & a generous portion.  She then had Pollo Diavola al Forno, chicken & pepperoni in a tomato & four cheese sauce, baked in the oven with penne.  We both enjoyed the starters more than the main courses.  We followed with coffees.  All their menus are on their web site.

Very pleasant staff & an ideal central spot for a break from the shops!
