The Bat & Ball Inn is situated close to Breamore House (an Elizabethan manor - open to the public) although we were on our way to Cranborne Manor Garden to seek out their well stocked garden centre for us enthusiastic gardeners!  We were recommended to lunch at The Bat & Ball and in spite of being busy (a good sign of course) we were very impressed with the food. The menu was extensive and interesting. Our chosen dishes were Smoked Duck with Raspberry Vinaigrette, Feta Cheese & Olive Salad, Prawns & Melon and Deep Fried Potato Skins with salsa & avocado, and a delicious Caesar Salad. There were wonderful plates of sandwiches too with interesting combinations and the heartier meals all looked good. Main courses approx £8-10.  We only had ONE drink each!

The chef is very imaginative/creative and will definitely return, in fact one of our party plans to go this week for an evening meal as she wants to tuck into some of the main courses instead of just a light bite. It was suggested to book for evening meals.

The higher the "Yummy" factor, the better the food & service.  The higher the number of £ signs the more expensive.  ( Roughly one £ sign = £5 per head )
