Someone wrote to the site to recommend Banks and to tell me that the chefs are Roux Brothers trained! An attractive establishment decorated in pleasing sludgy colours, friendly staff. We arrived quite early but by 1.0pm the restaurant was filling up so a good idea to book.

Four of us decided to order from the 3 courses for £11.95 menu. As it was a chilly day we all opted for soup of the day, Broccoli & Almond, to start with... it was certainly warming but a bit bland. Main courses were far more exciting, two of us chose Pan-fried Gurnard with Capers & Lemon, one had the vegetarian option, Mushroom & Broccoli Crepes & the 3rd choice (not illustrated) a Chili Beef Enchilada, all delicious.

Then of course we got to my favourite part, the puddings & don't our choices look gorgeous? Iced Blackcurrant Parfait, Pear & Raspberry Crumble, & Banana & Rum Pavlova, they tasted as good as they look! We finished with coffees. The food is excellent value for money will definitely re-visit. Cost £ £ £ Yummy Factor 8/10 Report CJ
