The Lifeboat is a large airy pub with outside eating. The menu is very well priced for the current economic climate! I ate Sizzling Cod and Pancetta Fish Cakes with Oriental Vegetable Stir Fry and herb rice @ £6.50, very tasty. The other choice was Cajun Chicken Breast served on a sizzling platter with tomato, mushrooms, onions, onion rings and chips @ £6.00. You order at the bar, collect your own cutlery and dig in! On the day of our visit it was quiet but if they manage the same service when busy I think they are on to a winner. At the moment they are doing an offer, if you buy 2 glasses of wine you get the whole bottle for the same price!
