The Seven Stars

If you want a lovely drive through what is known locally as "Little Switzerland" and you want somewhere to head to for lunch then try the Seven Stars.

Be warned, as you cannot book in advance go early, we did on a Sunday and fortunately were able to get a table. As with so many pubs these days, you find a table and then give the table number when ordering your food at the bar. Very friendly staff served our food and we all felt the pub had a good atmosphere. The barman gave excellent service; one of our party is a beer drinker, apparently there were some on offer he did not know so he was given samples of them all to try before he made his choice, he was greatly impressed.

The menu included the usual assortment of "pub grub". There was a Specials Board of some fish, pasta and vegetarian dishes but as we were a large party I won't bore you with the long list, suffice to say we were all satisfied with the portion size and most of us with the flavour. Good puds!
